I had purchased these clowns as kits in 2003 and had avoided doing them for around 7 years. I was scared that I would ruin them!
I would get them out and do a little bit, and then freak out at the next step so I would put them away, again, out of fear.
Eleven years ago I decided enough was enough, finished is better than perfect. If I didn’t finish them soon the children would be too old to appreciate them and I just forged on.
Jolly Joe, with the pointy hat was for Caleb. Sunny Sally with the floppy hat was for Hannah. They loved them, and I was annoyed it had taken me so long to finish them.
Here is a lesson to learn … Don’t let fear stop you from having a go. What is the worst thing that could happen?
